Such a beautiful quote, and so simple too.

When I looked at it today I saw it from a new perspective.

In the past I took it as inspiration and advice.

Today, I saw it as a demand:

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

as if Thoreau was saying to leave others alone and focus on your life, what you love, and what you do.

That has always been something that gets me riled up.

Let others do what they want, let me do what I want.

Stop caring what other people do.

Stop caring what other people believe.

Stop caring what other people love.

Live YOUR life.

Do what you love/ Find something to be passionate about

Just some of the many life lessons I've learned in the past year or two of high school.

I don't know what I'm going to do next year when everyone is gone.

When all of my heros leave, will all my inspiration leave with them?

When everyone who has instilled passion in my heart has left for bigger and better things will I be the same?

When my teachers who are more than teachers move on,

when these people who are so passionate for what they do exit my life,

will it be forever, will we be able to keep in touch?
All these people have inspired me,

I've learned so much more from them than they could ever know.

How can I possibly still be the same person I am now without them?

How can I possibly still be this strong passionate beautiful person that I see myself as without their encouragement and criticism and influence.

I'm about to cry, so I'd better stop.

Sometimes I just have to stop and wonder.

Be a pessimist for a couple minutes, you know?

Its okay, I'll be just fine.

I've found someone twenty times better than you could even think about being for me. He is sweet and cute and funny and I like him a lot. Besides all that he's genuine. Which is what matters. You never were. I'm proud to say I am completely over you, but that doesn't mean I'll forget anything. I just wanted to let you know. Have a nice life. :):):):)

A Fire Rages in Me

Dear _____,

You are a total jerk. In fact the biggest jerk I have ever met in my entire life. You only ever used me. You only wanted to be with me when it was convenient for you. I wanted you all along, it just isn't fair. You had me wrapped around your finger and took advantage of me. You lied to me over and over. You blinded me with your lies. You haven't changed at all. I don't know why I even believed you when you told me you had. Never again.

This is me telling you that you hurt me beyond words. I still have feelings for you is whats worse, but I'm done with you and I'm moving on. This is my first step. (Second step: Actually send this to you.)
